Helen of Troy

 


There is a lot of chatter about Christopher Nolan's Odyssey casting decision regarding Helen of Troy. After seeing the film, I did not have a problem with Lupita Nyong'o as Helen (she also plays Helen's sister Clytemnestra). Of course it was done to insert diversity (which annoys many, but is what it is), but she is also a decent actress and does her job in the film.

But I will use this to post some pictures and images of Helen of Troy.

    The outfit that makes nominations and final judgements for Oscar film awards instituted a diversity rule, so that if a filmmaker wants their production to be considered for an Oscar award, the cast and crew must fit a certain minimum requirement for “diversity”.

    The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) has a Diversity-in-Casting Incentive that requires a minimum of 50% of total speaking roles and 50% of total days of employment to be filled by performers from protected groups, including women, seniors, performers with disabilities, and people of color. This initiative aims to promote diversity and inclusion within the entertainment industry.

    Translation – Hollywood films will suck bigly for the foreseeable future. AKA Go woke, go broke.
