Trump (like almost all politicans) is immune from civil suits while in office and the left better consider that long and hard. If that immunity goes away for Trump, it goes away for other politicans too. The left is throwing every questionable civil and criminal charge (the fraud charge by Leticia James seems exceedingly weak) they can against Trump so as to try to prevent him from running in 2024.
Even if they are successful, that just opens a lane for DeSantis. Democrats have way more mud on their shoes.
The civil liability one will be appealed for a long time. The New York criminal case is more troublesome, not because it has merit, but because New York State is utterly corrupt. I expect Trump will deal with both in the courts though. The "top secret doc" investigation as I predicted last week will likely go nowhere.
