Being the Ricardos

Being the Ricardos

It is amazing how the left and Hollywood are so obsessed with the Communist black list from almost seventy years ago, but are running their own black list now against anyone not of the woke left. Hollywood had a bunch of communist assholes then and even more now. The left just wallow in victim status over events that happened before the writer and director of this show was even born. Aaron Sorkin's writing is predictable.

Also, playing out Lucy and Dezi's marital issues is not great Christmas time story telling. I would rather watch Nobody, or a real Christmas movie. It is on Amazon Prime, however, so you probably already have it. I would recommend checking it out, but not going out of your way to see it.

Nicole Kidman does look like Lucy.  It is mildly entertaining that Vivian Vance and William Frawley hated each other in real life. Javier Bardem is a great actor, but does not look like Dezi Arnaz (and it is hard to get over that). I also missed the controversy of Bardem, a Spaniard, being cast as a Cuban (but it is addressed below in the American Spectator link).
