Do Republicans have to go all in with Trump?

I like DeSantis (his job as Governor of Florida has been excellent), but his national campaign has not gone anywhere. His ratings are going down post first GOP debate. Is this just having a bad political team or just bad timing?  I am not sure DeSantis cannot win the general, but so far I am not seeing the political messaging and enthusiasm needed to win. 

Trump has some pretty high hurdles to win in the general. But so far, I do not see any of the Republican candidates who can do better (It is possible, I just don't see it so far).

DeSantis can’t win a general. That’s why I “flip flopped,” as low IQ people call it. DeSantis was 💯 governor but his campaign was the worst I’ve ever seen, it’s like his people didn’t observe 2015. Trump is the only hope for 2024 general election. I stand behind my criticisms.
