Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (he would be 90 if still alive)

I don't purport that Dr. King would have been a Trump supporter (although they might have had more in common than you may think). I am sure, however, Dr. King would not condone telling lies about high school students to make some political point. Justice, by its very nature, includes honesty and not bearing false witness. We all need to follow Dr. King's example when dealing with people we disagree with.

  1. Happy MLK Day. I would like to hear you attempt to describe even ONE meaningful piece of common ground between the sac of hot air floating around in the White House calling itself President and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. But hey, at least you got the right photo. It'd be a shame if you couldn't tell the difference between the face of MLK and the face of any other prominent black activist from the 60s. But you would never do that.

    1. Happy MLK Day to you.

In answer to your question, I believe Trump and Dr. King both wanted to make things better in this country. Given lower unemployment (especially for blacks) under Trump's term so far, he has succeeded at least in part.

Thank you BTW for correcting me on Assata Shakur and Angela Davis. I should have been more careful.
