Most strokes...Sounds like a fairly massive stroke. Most strokes are survivable if you get medical attention quickly. Survivable is not the same as no damage. I had a former supervisor and friend suffer one a few years ago, and while he survived, he lost some movement in his right arm (sort of like Senator Dole). On the positive side, my friend can drive and still works.
