Old Glory still standing at most Apollo lunar landing sites...

Good to know:
An enduring question ever since the manned moon landings of the 1960s has been: Are the flags planted by the astronauts still standing?
Now, lunar scientists say the verdict is in from the latest photos of the moon taken by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera(LROC): Most do, in fact, still stand.
"From the LROC images it is now certain that the American flags are still standing and casting shadows at all of the sites, except Apollo 11," LROC principal investigator Mark Robinson wrote in a blog post today(July 27). "Astronaut Buzz Aldrin reported that the flag was blown over by the exhaust from the ascent engine during liftoff of Apollo 11, and it looks like he was correct!"
More thoughts on the current condition of the lunar flags.
We need to plant some more of these.  And not just on the moon.

  1. One day explores will revisit those sites and the questions will be (1) whether to land or not so not to disturb the site like a shipwreck and (2) Now will the lunar landing truthers please STFU.

    1. The hoax-tards make me sick. If it were a hoax, do you think the Soviets might have let us all know? Do you think they had an interest of calling the USA on that?

And yes, if we go back there should be a radius of no contact to preserve the site (we probably will have devices to allow us to hover above the moon's surface without disturbing the surface and footprints). Those footprints could last for tens of thousands of years (or until it gets an asteroid hit).

    2. 1) I agree with this. These might as well be historical sites to be preserved.
      2) To all lunar truthers: Buzz Aldrin's fist would like to have words with you.
