Instapundit: Brittany Griner traded for a Russian Arms Dealer and What could go wrong?
The Russians wanted their arms dealer back. They would have traded both Griner and Whelan for him. While that is obivously still a bad deal for the USA, Putin knew Biden is weak. So Putin held out and got a way better deal. Overall it shows how weak USA leadership has become.
